We, culture4life GmbH (“we” or “us“), are committed to safeguarding your privacy interests in connection with your use of our social media sites and will strive at all times to maintain the security and integrity of your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Thus, your name, your e-mail address, but also your IP address represent personal data, for the processing of which the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter DSGVO) sets narrow limits. The requirements of the GDPR for handling this data primarily affect the controller, i.e. the party that collects and processes the data. If the data controller passes on the data to service providers in order to provide a service, this must be made transparent to you as the data subject. The respective service provider must be bound by the same standards as the responsible party and controlled by the latter.

This privacy policy applies to the social media sites operated by us, which we use to present our company and as communication platforms. It provides information about which data is collected or provided by us as the responsible party during activities on our social media pages, how we store and process your personal data, and which rights you have as a data subject with regard to your personal data.

The operators of the social media platforms also carry out data processing. The individual data processing and its scope differ depending on the operator:in the respective social media platform and are not necessarily comprehensible for us. For details on the collection and storage of your personal data as well as on the type, scope and purpose of their use by the respective operator:in, please refer to the privacy statements listed above. We have only very limited influence on the individual data processing operations. Insofar as it is possible for us to exert an influence on data processing, we work within the scope of the possibilities available to us to ensure that data is handled in a manner that complies with data protection regulations. We can neither influence nor switch off certain statistics that the operators of the social media platforms compile and make available to us in anonymized form. However, we do not use any optional statistics.

The data processing is carried out in the interest of our public relations and communication. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) 1 f) DSGVO to present our company.

You are not obliged to provide us with your personal data. However, this may be necessary for individual functionalities of our pages on social media platforms (e.g. the comment function is often only available to users registered on the respective platform). These functionalities will not be available to you or only to a limited extent if you do not provide us or the respective operator:in the platform with your personal data.

The data you enter on our social media pages, such as comments, videos, photos, likes, public messages, etc., will be published by the respective social media platform. If you use our social media pages to contact us, the personal data you provide us with will only be processed by us for the purpose of contacting you (Art. 6 (1) 1 a) and b) GDPR). If messages or comments are addressed to us as a question or a request consisting of an exercise of your rights, we will forward this request (exclusively by providing mandatory data) internally for processing if necessary. Alternatively, you can contact our data protection officer directly (the contact details can be found in part B). We do not process your data for purposes other than those previously mentioned and delete the personal data after the end of the processing operation in each case. We only store the content if this is necessary, for example to comply with legal requirements or because it is clearly discriminatory, offensive or obscene content. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) 1 c) GDPR.

The operators of the social media platforms may use web tracking methods, which can take place regardless of whether you are registered or logged in as a user on the respective platform. Other processing, such as for profiling purposes, is possible but not transparent to us.

When you access the social media websites, cookies from the respective social media platform may be stored on your terminal device. We have no influence on the further processing by the social media platform operators in this context. The respective platform operators are legally responsible for this (see the previous list of responsible parties). It is to be expected that the operators of the social media platforms will further process your data if you are logged into your account, for example to analyze your surfing behavior and assign it to your profile. We have no influence on this.

With regard to the processing of your personal data on our social media pages, you have the following rights provided for in the GDPR, insofar as these are within our sphere of influence:

  • The right to request a statement as to whether your personal data are being processed and, if this is the case, the right to information about these data. This information includes, among other things, the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data processed and the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed (Art. 15 GDPR).
  • The right to request the rectification of your personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete (Art. 16 GDPR).
  • The right, under certain conditions, to request that your personal data be deleted without undue delay (so-called “right to be forgotten”) (Art. 17 GDPR).
  • The right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain conditions (Art. 18 GDPR).
  • The right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain situations, provided that the processing is based on a legitimate interest of us or a third party pursuant to Art. 6 (1) 1 f) DSGVO.
  • The right to revoke at any time any consent given to us with regard to the processing of your personal data. Such revocation shall not affect the lawfulness of the processing that took place until your revocation.

To exercise these rights against us, you may also contact our Data Protection Officer, using the contact details set out in Part B of this Privacy Policy. For the processing of your data by the respective operators of the social media platforms, in which we have no insight and on which we cannot influence, you can contact the responsible persons mentioned in part C.

Notwithstanding the foregoing rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority for data protection and freedom of information:
