Café Frieda
France and back again

The Café Frieda is a modern café and bistro at Helmholtzplatz. Its special atmosphere in Parisian flair and the unique surroundings awaken romantic French dreams.

The motto that is lived at Café Frieda: COFFEE, FOOD, BREAD, WINE, MUSIC. THE THINGS THAT MATTER.

This means that the team sources its coffee beans from selected European roasters. The ingredients for the seasonal dishes are supplied by artisans from Brandenburg and Europe. The homemade sourdough bread here is much loved, the sustainable wine offerings celebrated, and the music hand-picked.

All this adds to the special charm of Café Frieda, reminiscent of Parisian cafés. As soon as you enter, you also feel a bit transported back in time, thanks to the tasteful wooden furniture and lushly placed plants in every corner.

Matching pictures and speakers decorate, from which light sounds run in the background.

The scent of fresh baked goods

Homemade sourdough bread and hand-rolled croissants are fresh from the oven – this smell reminds you of the old days. Here small specialities find a place on your plate, like the spelt croissant with creamy burrata and sweet syrup. You can enjoy the homemade sourdough bread with savoury ham, jam, or Gouda.

Besides that, you can choose from other dishes throughout the day, like oysters, vineyard snails in fermented butter, or a Green Goddess salad with a nice amount of Parmesan.

For a special ending or on a hot summer day, the café recommends its most famous dish: the creamy soft ice cream made from raw milk with jams and seasonal fruits.
